1/21/15 Lagrange Rail-Trail

A cold start ( 13 degrees ) but sunny and no wind so it turned out to be comfortable. We are still concerned about icy trails so this turned out to be a lucky guess- packed snow with a frozen crust that was very easy walking. We started from the Medford end because it is more interesting and further from roads.

There are pond and streams along the way

This stream was flowing but the banks were too steep to get to it.

Bundled up for the winter

Patiently waiting -- again.

Turned out to be a beautiful day- amazing blue skies and not a cloud in sight. No water kelley could get to but she seemed to enjoy being where we hadn't been in awhile.  3  1/4 hours

    1. Hi Sue- maybe a bit too long for Kelley- she seemed a bit stiff last night ( we had an easy day today) because the walking was so easy we walked farther than we normally would in the same amount of time.

  3. What lovely scenery you have, even in the cold! Wow. I never appreciated the snow when I lived in the Chicago area but I do love to see photos like yours now.
