Cold - near 20 when we started- but sunny and no wind - a beautiful day. A bit tricky finding a good trail so we went to the park as there are several choices. Starting from the parking lot we saw no one had been on the path we take down to the pond and decided to stick to the carriage roads. They had had traffic and some sort of vehicle ( the roads are closed but this part is private property and they sometimes groom or do other work) and the walking was easy.
We followed the route indicated and met a few people but were surprised there were not more on such a beautiful Saturday.
The pond
Woods along side the carriage road,
There had been no water for Kelley and I thought I would get home with a dry dog ( hard to get her dry in this weather ) but she found a little stream just a few feet from the parking lot.
A very nice hike with good footing and beautiful woods. 2 1/2 hours
Leave it to Kelley to find some water! :)
