Upper 30's and windy but nice sun. I haven't marked our route because I'm not sure of all of it. We went in on the South Trail from Poplar St., passed the small pond, walked beside Perch Pond, and took the Wild Kingdom Trail back to South.
The bridges in the boggy first section were treacherous with frozen snow and ice,
The areas that are mostly deciduous looked very wintry even though there is little snow left.
Bridge slats at the small pond
Kelley was happy when we reached the pond- the smaller pond had been ice covered.
Leaves under ice.
A pretty day in spite of the cold and an easy hike for Kelley. as usual here, we had the place to ourselves.
2 hours
Blaze orange goes well with Kelley's coat..she's a tough one...getting into that cold water..
