Pretty nice day- sun and 70's . We were going to do our usual loop and we started with no deer flies but Kelley did not seem very enthusiastic, except for the pond and another dog we met.

I kept going hoping she would perk up, and she did, but as soon as we turned on to the side trail we had deer flies again. we hoped there would be less on the old rail bed but there were not. On a positive note I got a few pictures and Kelley had more water along side the trails
I decided to shorten the loop and we took another side trail back to the West. Not the most successful hike but we did it, 1 1/2 hours
