7/7/11 Little Long Pond Area



Warm day .I chose to return to an area we had been to recently so Kelley would have lots of water. We started from the same spot at the lower end of the pond which right now is quite lush.


In addition to reeds and other vegetation there are a lot of water lilies





We crossed from the Jordan Stream Trail to the carriage road and met nice people with friendly dogs. We then went a short distance on the Asticou to the Harbor Brook Trail, intending to take it to the road and walk back on that to our car.

I got us turned around-there are trails in this area not on the map and they look very similar to the named trails-and we ended up going in a circle. I decide to give up on Harbor Brook and just return on the carriage roads where we met more nice people on our way back. 3 hours
