Not a hike - Kelley was reluctant to get in the car so we juts went to the nearby stream.
The water is even lower than last we were here
but there were pools for Kelley
and this woman and her young children were trying to fish
While Kelley enjoyed the water I looked along the bank
I didn't see the bee in this jewelweed until I processed the picture
When I tried to get Kelley to walk along the stream she just sat down. After several tries it was back in the water and then home.

Lovely wildflowers!
ReplyDeleteThank you Linda- these get water being next to the stream - others have to deal with what they are now calling a drought
DeleteIt's good to have a trail nearby with some water for Kelley-girl..amazing how low water levels are everywhere..
ReplyDeleteHi penbayman- yes, this is 2 miles from home. Avoiding many trails because streams and pools are dried up.
DeleteI hope you get some much needed moisture. It seems to be "all or none" anymore in the rain department.
ReplyDeleteHope Kelley is ok. She sure didn't seem very enthusiastic.
Thanks Sue. Kelley has been a little weird that past week or so. Besides the lack of enthusiasm she has demanded more attention from me and changed her door preference. Yesterday she did pretty well on our hike.
