On and off rain last 3 days. This morning is 55 degrees, sun and clouds ( more clouds than sun), and wind which was bad for close ups but meant no bugs.
We got a bit of sun at the start
and there is a small pond near the start ( not on the map). I think some camera settings I made resulted in Kelley being out of focus.
The geese in the pond did not seem concerned about Kelley
Lots of bunchberries
We took the little spur over to Pine Pond
but Kelley finds it easier to get in the smaller pond next to it
We took the old railbed
to where a beaver pond had flooded it. In winter when its frozen we can continue on
but today was for Kelley
Another small pond on the way back.
Turned out to be a nice hike. Kelley did well and we had the place to ourselves. 1 1/2 hours
The rail bed picture is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Kim - I think it's the prettiest part of the trails.
DeleteLovely woods! And nice shot of the bunchberries around that old tree stump.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comments Linda
DeleteReally glad to hear that Kelley is doing well..it's been a year since I "lost" Big Ray and I still think of him every day..relish your time with Kelley!
ReplyDeleteThanks penbayman - can't believe it's been a year - I do relish my time with Kelley and try not to think about the future
