Two degrees when we got up and it never got out of the teens so back to the island where it's a few degrees warmer. Forecast for next four days is snow, rain, and freezing rain. These icy conditions are very discouraging.
The trail up Eliot had no snow and more water than ice- it runs down the trail like a small stream. Going down the other side there was much more ice and larger sections of it on the ledges . The Jordan Pond Path was good with no snow and little ice. The the Harbor Brook Trail was mostly clear of ice but still has a lot of trees downed in the storm to work around.
I din't take many pictures- reluctant to open jacket and remove gloves - and I screwed up most of those I did take.
Jordan Pond Path
Harbor Brook
We had the trails to our selves and Kelley stayed within sight. Not the most pleasant conditions but we got in a 2 1/4 hour hike.
I really like the first picture.
