2/9/17 Trail Along the Kenduskeag

Seventeen degrees, cloudy with heavy snow forecast. We were going to get in a hike before the storm and hopefully Kelley would be better today. Little trail use but the crust below the new crust ( got above freezing yesterday afternoon) was firm.

Having a little taste

A little break

 Section of mostly open water

We met a couple with an unfriendly dog and then near the turn around a couple on snowmobiles. Kelley did well today though she seemed to prefer walking in the tracks I made. After the snowmobiles passed the footing was better for Kelley but less firm for me. Still a good hike. There was little wind so it didn't feel as cold as it was. 1 1/2 hours
