1/5/16 Snowmobile Trail Along Kendukeag

Yesterday was very cold and windy so we just did a short walk around the neighborhood but Kelley drove me crazy all day. She wanted out, then in, in the car ? No, then yes, etc. - all day. So today we were going to have a hike. It was minus 7 when we got up and I stalled 'till the temperature reached Plus 5 and we headed out to this nearby trail we had visited just a few days ago

I expected to be miserable but there was no wind and so it was comfortable and the woods were very pretty,

Kelley was enthusiastic and energetic but is catching up here because there were things she needed to smell.

The stream near the Griffen Rd. end of the hike

Heading back

I didn't take many pictures but found a bunch of leaves

and this ominous looking pod

What I expected to be a trial turned out to be a nice outing and Kelley was also happy. 1  1.2 hours  She did not act crazy the rest of the day
