8/9/15 Downtown

Mostly cloudy and upper 60's . decided to walk downtown and not have to deal with deer flies.

We parked near the river and after a lot of sniffing arrived.

First a drink

I had to look up the name - a samson post - 

There is a small side dock for small craft - canoes and kayaks - and this duck was on the ramp.

I quickly took a picture thinking it would flea but it was curious and came a bit further up the ramp before leaving 

Near the only other place Kelley can get in the water we met a man and his dog Cooper. We let the dogs off their leads and while we were talking Kelley went down to the water and then Cooper followed.

We made a loop by going up to the main street and I found this nice rose among all those gone to seed.

Back to the river before we went to the car.

A pleasant hour and a quarter. Kelley got some water and was able to greet several nice people.
