Gray morning with rain forecast ( never happened ) and I wanted something short and easy so we went downtown. I let Kelley pick the route and though the river is several blocks from where we parked she head directly toward it. I managed a few flowers on the way. Volunteers have planted small plots of flowers around the city and they are very nice

Ah, we got to the river
We then walked along the shore toward the one other spot Kelley can get into the water
There is a fairly high steep bank here and she is picking her way down
A short ways past this point she seemed to lose interest ( no more chances to get in the water) and we headed back- where there were places she could into the water.
One more flower
A pleasant hour and a quarter- Kelley got to swim and there were lots of friendly folks for her to greet.
