I am retired and have been doing a lot of hiking with my dog Kelley. Kelley has done all the peaks in Acadia National Park as well as those in Camden and the Donnell Pond and Monteville area. We have also done Big and Little Moose, Petit Manan and the Cutler Coast. We hope that other hikers will share hikes they have enjoyed.

8/1/13 Little River Trail
Another nice day- temps supposed to be in the 70's and no rain. It was sunny at home but when we got to Belfast ( on the ocean) there was dense fog.
From the end of Reservoir No. 1
Kelley didn't mind
and there was nice light
still a bit foggy
But after an hour or so the fog was burned off
No deer flies the first half hour and then a few. At the point where the trial turns away from the river we had an apple break and then turned back. No flies on the way back on the same trail--???. Kelley was happy with the hike- some ups and downs due to ravines and small hills but nothing taxing and lots of water. A nice 3 hour hike.

Welcome back to our "home trail"!
