I am retired and have been doing a lot of hiking with my dog Kelley. Kelley has done all the peaks in Acadia National Park as well as those in Camden and the Donnell Pond and Monteville area. We have also done Big and Little Moose, Petit Manan and the Cutler Coast. We hope that other hikers will share hikes they have enjoyed.

1/15/10 A Little Exploring Close to Home
Had an appointment and errands to deal with this morning so we stayed home. Between errands this morning we checked the trail behind the house going south and it was easy walking to where it ended at a small park with a few little trails. That wasn't nearly enough to make Kelley happy so this afternoon, errands finished, we took the trail north but just after it connected with the snowmobile trail we turned onto a trail now closed to snowmobiles and took that into some pretty woods. It eventually forked and we went right continuing through woods until it came to the old military site where it forked again-either going toward a subdivision or back into the woods. We went to the subdivision and through it ( the trail seemed to continue) and back to our original trail and home. That leaves several trails yet unexplored for another day.
