12/9/09 Walden Parke Preserve

Big storm predicted for today so we decided to stay close to home. This is a project of the Bangor Land Trust and is about 10 minutes from home. There are several miles of trails and it abuts the Bangor Forest which has more trails.Part of the trail system is on an old rail bed -second picture.

    I find myself looking for a moose in the distance.

    It's possible. We once had two young moose out front on the street-in summer.
