12/4/09 Whitch Hole Pond and Pleasant Hill

Another carriage road today( rained again yesterday). This was a 6.8 mile loop on a chilly but mostly sunny day. There are several nice ponds ( Kelley was happy about this) on the route and pretty views of Frenchman Bay from Pleasant Hill as well as streams with lots of rushing water. Along the way we saw a deer lying about 20 feet away. It just calmly looked at us ( Kelley was also calmly looking at it) but by the time I got my camera out it decided to amble off further into the woods.

  1. All in all it sounds like it was a satisfying walk. Looks chilly though...leaves are off the trees.

  2. It was a nice walk. Leaves are long gone-temps in the 30's but sunny.
