8/16/15 Hidden Ponds

Going to be hot so we headed for Franklin where it's predicted to be 5 degrees cooler. This morning Kelley seemed eager to hike and showed no sign of problems. There were also zero deer Flies !! I chose a shorter route than we usually do - aiming for an hour and a half.

A small stream near the start of the hike

Our first pond was Salmon  - the light colored streaks are sunken trees

Kelley didn't like the bank there so we took the loop

to the side of Salmon where she did get in

A little ways off the trail

Little Long Pond - Kelley was able to get into the water here too but I missed getting a picture

Some bunchberries on the way back

A nice hike but glad we started early as it got to 88 degrees later in the day. Kelley did well and I got the time right 1  1/2 hours.

  1. Beautiful ponds and nice cloud reflections. Great shot of Kelley in the water too!
