1/17/13 City Forest

Yesterday I decided I needed a rest day so we just walked around the neighborhood twice in the snow. On the second walk we visited Sarge- Kelley's favorite friend - and his owner and her young daughter and they got to play for a good while which really made Kelley happy.

This morning we awoke to find we had got a total of  about three inches of new snow- just enough to make it pretty again. I quickly shoveled the drive and we went to City Forest before  it warmed up and the snow fell from the trees. We met several skiers but not a single hiker on our two hour walk.

    You are right about the pretty! Thanks for sharing - the pic of the trail through the evergreens would make a cool Christmas card.

    I'd be surprised if it warmed up enough today for any snow to fall off from anything. Pretty pictures...

    Hey penbayman- not today- 2 degrees when we set off this morning- yesterday it got up to 37-tomorrow above freezing again- weird weather. Thanks for your comment.
