10/9/11 Petit Manan

Unusually warm ( 80's) for this time of year so we headed for the ocean at Petit Manan. We took the Hollingsworth Trail to the shore





And walked that for a little less than an hour before having our apple and turning back. This is some of what we saw.






Surprisingly, there were lots of butterflies about but most wouldn't let me near enough to photograph them.







After lunch we took the other part of the Hollingsworth back and found this guy also having lunch.


A pleasant hike 2 3/4 hours

    Interesting views. I like how the dragonfly tore off one of the fly's wings. That poor guy won't be flying away soon.
