Last few days

have been on and off rainy ( with brief shows from the sun) and we have limited ourselves to short walks around the neighborhood with me slipping out between showers for a few shots.

This little guy kept landing on busy backgrounds


and then landed on my foot



The garden is winding down but there are still some nice flowers

    Hi John--some don't-there are some large ones with striped wings I have been trying to get all summer but they never let me get close enough.

    That's not just a 100mm lens...it's a macro 100mm which allows John to stand off from his subject a bit and still get fantastic detail. I would say he has his technique down pat.
