8/11/10 Pemetic Mountain


A nice day but many people on the trails taking advantage of it. This was fine with Kelley who was excited to meet lots of people. We started at Jordan Pond and took the Pond Trail to Pemetic SW, over the mountain on the Pemetic, down Pemetic NW, the Carry Trail down to Jordan Pond, and around the pond to complete our loop. These trails have been described in previous posts. 3 hours

    Are there homes on the shore of Jordan Pond? I know that here in Michigan there is little to no access to inland lakes because homeowners own all the property surrounding.

    No homes--there is a concession ( I guess that's what it is) - back from the shore called Jordan Pond House that is a restaurant-http://www.thejordanpondhouse.com/ . The pond is entirely within the park
